Every year, usually during the holidays when I have more free time, I update the backend of Sweet Daddy Designs. This means my client experience, process, strategy workshop, and branding services all get looked over and updated. It’s been a while since I shared what we’re doing around here so I wanted to break down our current services.
One of my favorite parts of the branding process is strategy. Honestly, I think it’s because I get to guide you through the tricky waters of developing who your brand is, who your audience is, and creating a personality to bridge the gap between the two.
Investing in your brand’s strategy ensures you gain clarity not just in the next 3 months but for the next 3+ years. Your brand’s strategy is the blueprint for your brand to stay consistent and grow.
My strategy process is a lengthy one (as it should be). We start with a 2-hour strategy workshop where I get to dig into all the juicy details surrounding your business. During this session, I usually ask questions that some business owners have a hard time answering. This is totally normal but it’ll push you to start thinking critically about your brand. After the workshop, I’ll dive into the research phase. This is where I pull everything we talked about and dive deeper on my own. I look at your audience, competitors, and your brand to see where gaps and unmet needs are in the market. This analysis helps me position your brand and create a personality and message to attach to it. The whole process takes about 1 to 2 months to complete but Rome wasn’t built in a day and your brand shouldn’t be either.
I tell all of my clients that my branding process is 80% strategy and 20% design (that’s how important strategy is). After the strategy is complete, the visual side of your brand just flows together because you already have the roadmap in front of you.
Regardless of how my clients choose to work with me, strategy is included in every project (because it’s that damn important). After the workshop, we’ll set up a Pinterest board to kick off the creative direction. Then I’ll develop a mood board that includes direction for the brand, then we’ll jump right into creating color palettes, logo designs, pattern designs, social media designs, and any other visual you might need to establish your brand. Depending on the number of visuals you’ll need, the process could take anywhere from 1 – 3 months to complete.
Strategy is the backbone of branding. The same thing applies here. Our website design process is focused on how your audience views your site, what they’re interested in viewing, and how we can make their time on your website simple and easy. This process starts again with a strategy workshop so we can determine what your website goals are, where you want to lead your audience, and what you want them to do on the site. After the workshop, I’ll develop a wireframe design that will lay out what your website will look like before we put it online. Next, we’ll develop your site on Showit (my preferred platform), set up your WordPress blog, then publish you online. Quick and easy right? This process usually takes 1 – 3 months to complete depending on the size of your website.
I’ve been asked multiple times if there was a way for both current and new clients to continue discussing their brand with me. Because of this, I’ve decided to add consulting to my 2022 services as a way to keep the conversation going.
Consulting will look different for every client but the one constant will be the strategy. Whether you have one specific problem or are struggling with how to stay consistent throughout your business, I’ll help you analyze where you are and develop a plan to guide you to where you want to be.
I’ll be offering 1, 3, and 6 month consulting with a monthly action plan and weekday voxer access.
I’ll only be offering 5 spots for the first half of 2022. If you’re interested in grabbing a 1:1 consulting spot with me please apply!
If you’re looking to work with Sweet Daddy Designs for any of our new branding services, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
